Historically, the area today known as the Design District was originally known as Buena Vista. Signs with the name Buena Vista can still be seen throughout the area such as the Buena Vista Post Office, and Buena Vista School. Other signs, like the one pictured here, with Max Rothman’s poem, suggest something entirely different may be happening on the street… poetry.
